7-Day Tanzania Mid-range Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take the day to relax and prepare for your upcoming adventure. Depending on arrival time, you can explore the town or relax at the lodge.

After breakfast and safari briefing, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). Spend the day on game drives in this scenic park, known for its baobabs, elephants, and predators. After lunch, continue to the Karatu highlands for an overnight stay near Ngorongoro.

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Central Serengeti. Enter Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate and begin game viewing through the Seronera Valley, where lions, leopards, and cheetahs are frequently spotted. Arrive at your tented camp for sundowners and dinner.

Spend a full day exploring Central Serengeti, rich in wildlife throughout the year. Look for big cats, hyenas, elephants, hippos, and large plains game. You may choose a full-day game drive with picnic lunch or return to camp for hot lunch and an evening game drive.

After breakfast, begin the journey to Northern Serengeti, famous for the Mara River crossings during the Great Migration (July–October). Enjoy a scenic game drive along the way and arrive in the remote Kogatende region by late afternoon.

Begin with a sunrise game drive in Northern Serengeti, then journey south through the park back into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional stops at Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai village can be arranged along the way. Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim for dinner and rest.

Today you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 5–6 hour game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa. Look out for rhinos, lions, buffalo, elephants, and flamingos. After lunch, drive back to Arusha and transfer to the airport or your hotel.
