Kipe Adventure is a 100% Maasai-owned safari company based in Arusha, Tanzania, founded to create responsible, community-led travel that protects wildlife, preserves culture, and benefits local people.
Born from Maasai land and guided by lived experience, we believe tourism should do more than showcase Africa — it should respect it, protect it, and give back to the communities who call it home.

Why We Exist

For generations, Maasai communities have lived alongside wildlife, protecting ecosystems that attract visitors from around the world. Yet too often, tourism has overlooked the people who safeguard this land.
Kipe Adventure exists to change that — by placing local communities at the heart of travel, ensuring conservation, cultural respect, and shared benefits are not promises, but practice.

Meet, Mr. Kipelian (Lekulek) Olesisian

The Story Behind the Vision

Jambo and welcome to Kipe Adventure.

For more than half a decade, I have proudly led Kipe Adventure as one of the few 100% locally Maasai-owned safari companies in Tanzania.

My name is Kipelyani Olesisian, though most people know me simply as Kipe or Lekulek. I was born and raised in Oltukai Village, deep within the Kwakuchinja Wildlife Corridor between Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks. Growing up surrounded by wildlife, nature, and Maasai traditions shaped the person I am today and inspired my passion for conservation, culture, and community.

Life in Maasai land taught me the importance of living in harmony with nature, respecting traditions, and protecting the environment for future generations. Those values continue to guide everything we do at Kipe Adventure today.

Kipe Adventure is more than a safari company. It is a reflection of our way of life, built around authentic experiences, responsible travel, conservation, and meaningful cultural connection. Through safaris, walking adventures, and community experiences, we invite travellers to experience Tanzania in a more personal and genuine way.

Through tourism, we also support community development initiatives focused on education, women and youth empowerment, conservation, and creating better opportunities within Maasai communities.
