When is the best time to visit the Serengeti?
The Serengeti offers rewarding wildlife viewing throughout the year. The best time for your safari depends on what you hope to experience, particularly if the Great Migration is a priority.

How many days do I need in the Serengeti?
Three to four days within the Serengeti gives you time to explore without rushing, although longer stays work particularly well when following seasonal wildlife movements or combining different regions.

How much does a Serengeti safari cost?
Prices vary according to season, accommodation, trip length, group size and route. Kipe prepares each quotation around the individual journey rather than using one fixed price for every traveller.

Can I see the Great Migration?
The migration takes place throughout the year, but its location changes seasonally. We plan your route according to your travel dates and typical migration patterns. Wildlife movements and river crossings cannot be guaranteed.

Is the Serengeti safari private?
Yes. Kipe’s private safaris give you your own vehicle and guide rather than placing you into a scheduled group departure.

Can I combine Serengeti with Ngorongoro?
Yes. Serengeti and Ngorongoro work naturally together, and Tarangire, Lake Manyara, cultural experiences or Zanzibar can also be incorporated into a longer Tanzania itinerary.

Incredible Safari and Maasai Experience If you want to have an incredible experience in Tanzania you need to book with Kipe. We did a 10 day safari and we saw every single animal we wanted to see and got to witness many amazing moments. The tour itself was really smooth and comfortable experience, every driver Kipe hired was incredibly friendly and helpful. We also spent 2 nights at Kipe’s Maasai Boma. It was such an incredible experience, from being greeted by singing and dancing, getting to meet all the people there and being able learning about the Maasai people and its culture. This stop is a definite must do for anyone looking to get a deeper knowledge of Maasai culture.

BEST time in the Maasai village Our visit to the Maasai village in Tanzania was hands down one of the most meaningful experiences of my entire trip! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with singing, smiles, and open arms. The warmth and hospitality were unlike anything I've felt before. We weren't treated like tourists; we were welcomed like family. The day was completely hands-on. I milked a cow for the first time (harder than it looks!), learned how to make traditional tea, and even started a fire. Every activity came with patience, laughter, and genuine encouragement. The highlight was sitting around the firepit as the elders shared their history, traditions, and values. Hearing about their deep connection to family, community, cattle, and the land was eye-opening and humbling. It gave me a whole new appreciation for their way of life and the pride they carry in preserving it. This wasn't a performance; it was a true cultural exchange. Kipe's safari! We have a family with two young adults and worked with Kipe directly to plan the itinerary. We found Kipe very flexible to our needs and demands. We had a long call with him wherein he explained how the safari typically works. He answered all our questions patiently. Then came the actual trip. On the first day, Kipe welcomed us into his boma where we got to stay with his family and enjoy some family traditions. Then started the tour with our guide, Ali and a comfy Toyota Land Cruiser. The car was well equipped with water, juices, snacks and also beer and wine! We packed our stuff, loaded the car and started our adventure. Fast forward 10 days, we were a group of satisfied and grateful beings! We had seen all animals there are, even watched a carefully planned and executed attack by a pride of lions on zebras and the Mara river crossing by Wildebeest herd. The trip was flawlessly executed, with no glitches whatsoever! Given the hundreds of tour operators and some of them really well established, the competition is intense and Kipe certainly stands out. We highly recommend Kipe's safari!

An Unforgettable 10-Day Safari Our 10-day safari in Tanzania with Kipe Adventures was absolutely incredible from start to finish! Our guide, Ali, was amazing—knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and incredibly flexible throughout the entire trip. We were able to see every animal we had hoped for, including leopards, cheetahs, lions, rhinos, elephants, and so many more. The accommodations were fantastic and made the entire trip so comfortable. One of the biggest highlights was staying with Kipe’s Maasai village. Everyone we met was so kind and welcoming, and being able to immerse ourselves directly in village life was an experience unlike anything we had ever done before. It was such a special and authentic experience that we will never forget. Kipe was also incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. Whenever we had a question or needed to get in touch, he responded right away. He was so easy to communicate with, and we were able to really customize our experience. We even added a two-day excursion to Lake Natron, where we went on a beautiful waterfall hike that became another highlight of our trip. Our guide was incredibly flexible as well. If we wanted to stay longer in an area because we were trying to spot a particular animal, he was always happy to let us stay. We were never on a strict timetable, which made the safari feel so much more relaxed and enjoyable. We could take our time, enjoy the wildlife, and truly make the experience our own. What made this experience even more meaningful was knowing that our money was supporting such a great cause. Kipe helps support the Maasai community and works to ensure that the children in the village have access to education. Hearing Kipe’s own heartwarming story about how he started his company and why giving back to his community is so important made us appreciate the experience even more. It was wonderful to know that our trip was not only creating incredible memories for us, but also contributing to something meaningful for the local community. Excellent Photo Safari in Serengeti (Great Migration) Best Tour Operator Kipe Adventures took care of every detail and created a fabulous itinerary that took us all over Tanzania’s Safari locations. Accommodations are according to budget, of course, but this was nothing short of luxurious! The best Safari experience My mom and I went on Kipe Adventure's Kenya and Tanzania Safari, a trip of a lifetime! The whole trip is organised professionally, with experienced and responsible guides who will always lead us to a variety of wildlife and patiently explain their habits. Unforgetable experience Kipe Adventures delivered one of the most extraordinary experiences of our lives. What sets them apart isn’t just the safari, it’s the whole package they’ve built around it. We started with a game drive and walking safari in Manyara Ranch Conservancy, spotting animals up close in a way that no fence or barrier could replicate.
